Béatrice Thomas, a drop-out from École Polytechnique, is recruited by the A.C.C.A., an obscure government agency. Under the guidance of Jocelyn, a fallen astronaut, she joins her new team to investigate the extraterrestrial phenomena reported by the population. The daily lives of the civil servants are turned upside down when the powerful new minister, Richard Ryan, announces the imminent closure of the agency.
While the team resigns itself to the situation, Beatrice, for once in her life, refuses to give up. She galvanizes her colleagues to orchestrate fake alien events to justify the agency’s existence and save their jobs.
