Discoverability in the Context of Funding the Canadian Screen Media Industry is a pan-Canadian workshop series designed to raise awareness among executives about the challenges of discoverability and provide them with solutions for implementing audience development strategies.
OCTOBER 11, 2018 – Magnify Digital, in partnership with the Canada Media Fund (CMF-CMF), the Bell Fund, the Shaw-Rocket Fund, the CFC Media Lab, the Independent Production Fund (IPF), Creative BC, and the Canadian Media Producers Association BC (CMPA-BC), is proud to announce a new national tour: Discoverability in the Context of Funding the Canadian Screen Media Industry.
This first-of-its-kind workshop series will demystify discoverability for industry stakeholders in six Canadian cities.
In each city, the tour will offer two sessions addressing discoverability issues faced by various stakeholders in the Canadian screen media industry.
Session 1: 10:00 a.m. – 75 minutes – Free

Executive Session
The morning session, designed for executives, will address the discoverability challenges facing industry stakeholders in 2018.
This session will identify:

- The Risks/Benefits of an Internal vs. External Marketing Team

Hands-on Workshop
The afternoon session is essential for anyone responsible for discoverability and digital marketing strategies. This three-hour workshop, packed with tools, tips, and case studies, will teach participants how to:
- Identify and target online audiences
- Research and develop digital marketing strategies that meet funding eligibility criteria
- Choose the right metrics to measure discoverability
- Select the best digital tools to achieve discoverability
